A home is for sale. Buyers look at the home but it takes some time to attract the right buyers. A young family with children makes an offer. The offer is accepted and the seller is happy. The seller offers to leave some items behind and the buyers happily accept. When the buyers move into their new home, they are very content about their wonderful home that fits all their needs.
And then there are decisions from the seller, that are hard to understand. For an example the light fixture, that was taken. It was between two mirrors, have been there for many, many years, since the wood around it has changed its colour. For the buyer it is not easy to find a light fixture that will cover up the mark left behind.
I often wonder why people would do such a thing? At times we have clients asking to take out from the contract the freezer in their basement. The freezer was perfect for that space and is very old, most likely not the most efficient piece of appliance. Then on moving day, the movers find out, one cannot take the freezer out of the house, maybe the walls were build around the freezer at one time. Now the buyer needs to be contacted to see if they will accept the freezer in the basement. If they have already bought a new freezer to replace the old one the seller will have to dismantle the old one and remove it at his/her cost.
As for the light fixture, that was removed - did it find a new place or did it not even fit into the smaller place and is now boxed up in storage?
Before making such decisions, consider all sides.
